Travelers often focus only on the expiry date. In practice, a strong passport file also depends on:
- enough remaining validity after the trip;
- good physical condition;
- enough page space;
- an exact match between the passport and application details.
2 What else to verify
2.1 Passport condition
Renew early if your passport is worn, damaged, or difficult to scan.
2.2 Blank passport pages
Keep at least one clean blank page, and ideally two if your passport is already heavily stamped.
2.3 Matching details
The passport number and name in the application should exactly match the passport you will carry.
