Do children need a separate Moldova eVisa?

On this pageView sections

1 Why there is no exemption

A Moldova eVisa is linked to a single passport number. A child with their own passport therefore needs their own permit — there is nothing to attach a second person to.

2 Children on a parent's passport

Where a child is still endorsed on a parent's passport, check Moldova's current position before assuming the parent's permit covers them. Most authorities have moved to requiring individual travel documents, and this is a poor thing to discover at check-in.

3 What it costs

The US$73 government fee applies per person, with no reduction for minors, plus our flat US$59.99 service fee per traveller. A family of four is four applications and four sets of fees.

4 Filling in a child's application

Use the child's own passport number, full name exactly as printed in the machine-readable line, date of birth, nationality and passport expiry date, copied from the child's passport. The most common family error is carrying a parent's details across. The photo must meet the same standard too — a plain background and a clear full-face view, which is harder with a baby than the guidance suggests.

5 Timing

Apply for the whole family together and allow 5 working days. The trip depends on the slowest approval, not the first.

6 Before you apply

Work through the Moldova eVisa requirements checklist, then continue to the application flow. Other questions for this destination are collected in the Moldova eVisa FAQ.

United eVisa Services is a private application-support provider, not a government agency. The immigration authority makes the decision.

Before you submit

A short check now can prevent avoidable corrections later.

  • Match names, passport numbers, and birth dates exactly.
  • Use clear document images and confirm the requested format.
  • Re-check travel dates and supporting bookings before payment.

Processing times are estimates and immigration authorities make the final decision. Avoid paying twice or resubmitting unchanged information.

Ready for the next step?

Check the route before entering passport details.

Review eligibility and fees first. You can leave before payment if the available route does not fit your trip.
