Do I need a hotel booking for a Moldova eVisa?

On this pageView sections

1 What the form wants

An address for your first nights in Moldova — a hotel, or a host's address. A refundable reservation satisfies this as well as a paid one, and leaves you able to change plans.

2 Why not to pay upfront

Review takes 5 working days — no faster route is offered, and approval is not guaranteed. A non-refundable booking made before a decision turns a refusal into a bigger loss than the US$73 government fee.

3 Staying with friends or family

Give their full name, address and contact details. A short letter from them confirming they are hosting you, with your name spelled exactly as in your passport, is worth having even when nothing asks for it.

4 If plans change after approval

Changing where you stay does not invalidate an eVisa — the approval is tied to your passport and to the dates printed on it, not to a specific hotel. Carry details of wherever you are actually staying for the border.

5 The detail that causes trouble

A booking in a different name from the passport. Reservations made by a partner, an employer or a travel agent frequently carry the wrong name — check before you travel.

6 Before you apply

Work through the Moldova eVisa requirements checklist, then continue to the application flow. Other questions for this destination are collected in the Moldova eVisa FAQ.

United eVisa Services is a private application-support provider, not a government agency. The immigration authority makes the decision.

Final review

Before you submit

A short check now can prevent avoidable corrections later.

  • Match names, passport numbers, and birth dates exactly.
  • Use clear document images and confirm the requested format.
  • Re-check travel dates and supporting bookings before payment.

Processing times are estimates and immigration authorities make the final decision. Avoid paying twice or resubmitting unchanged information.

Ready for the next step?

Check the route before entering passport details.

Review eligibility and fees first. You can leave before payment if the available route does not fit your trip.
