1 Dates moved
A Kenya eTA allows a stay of up to 3 months, inside the window printed on your approval. New dates inside that window are normally fine. New dates outside it need a fresh application and a fresh US$65–US$95 government fee — allow 5 working days again.
2 Route or entry point changed
Kenya issues a separate transit product, so check you hold the right one: a transit permit and a tourist permit are not interchangeable if your plans now involve a real stay.
3 Trip now involves leaving and coming back
Every Kenya product on offer is single entry, so leaving the country ends the permit. A return leg needs a second application.
4 Trip cancelled entirely
The government fee is tied to the assessment, not to whether you travel, so it is not returned. Nothing needs to be cancelled — an unused permit simply lapses at the end of its window.
5 If you need to reapply
Work through the Kenya eTA requirements checklist, then continue to the application flow. Other questions for this destination are collected in the Kenya eTA FAQ.
United eVisa Services is a private application-support provider, not a government agency. The immigration authority makes the decision.
