Can I cancel my Kenya eTA application?

On this pageView sections

1 Before submission

While the application is still with us and has not been lodged, stopping it is straightforward — nothing has been assessed and no government charge has been triggered.

2 After submission

Once the file is lodged, the US$65–US$95 government fee has bought an assessment, and that assessment is what you paid for. Withdrawing does not undo it, so the government fee does not come back. Review runs 5 working days, and a withdrawal request part-way through does not always arrive before a decision does.

3 The two fees behave differently

If immigration declines your application, we refund our service fee. Government fees are non-refundable. Eligibility and timelines are in our refund policy. Note that this covers a rejection, which is a decision by the authority — it is not the same as you choosing to withdraw. Our full terms are in the refund policy.

4 The usual real question

Most people asking about cancelling actually want to fix a mistake or move their dates. Those have their own answers, and neither necessarily needs a cancellation — start from the Kenya eTA FAQ instead of withdrawing a file that may still be usable.

5 If you do need to start again

Work through the Kenya eTA requirements checklist, then continue to the application flow. Other questions for this destination are collected in the Kenya eTA FAQ.

United eVisa Services is a private application-support provider, not a government agency. The immigration authority makes the decision.

Final review

Before you submit

A short check now can prevent avoidable corrections later.

  • Match names, passport numbers, and birth dates exactly.
  • Use clear document images and confirm the requested format.
  • Re-check travel dates and supporting bookings before payment.

Processing times are estimates and immigration authorities make the final decision. Avoid paying twice or resubmitting unchanged information.

Ready for the next step?

Check the route before entering passport details.

Review eligibility and fees first. You can leave before payment if the available route does not fit your trip.
