Treat that as a processing window, not a guarantee. The clock starts when a complete file reaches the authority — not when you start the form — and it pauses if anything has to be resubmitted.
1 What decides your timing
- Document quality. An unreadable passport scan or a non-compliant photo is the most common reason a file goes back to the start of the queue.
- Consistency with the passport. The passport number, full name exactly as printed in the machine-readable line, date of birth, nationality and passport expiry date must match the machine-readable line exactly.
- Weekends and public holidays. "5 working days" counts working days in Pakistan.
- Peak season. Volumes rise before holiday periods and the window stretches with them.
2 How far ahead to apply
Two to three weeks before departure. Treat the possibility of 2 working days handling as a long shot for a trip booked late, never as the plan — it is on request, it is not guaranteed, and it cannot absorb a document problem that forces a resubmission.
3 Cost of getting it wrong
A rejected file means paying US$90–US$180 again and waiting the full window again. Checking the file once against the passport is the cheapest step in the process.
4 Before you apply
Work through the Pakistan eVisa requirements checklist, then continue to the application flow. Other questions for this destination are collected in the Pakistan eVisa FAQ.
United eVisa Services is a private application-support provider, not a government agency. The immigration authority makes the decision.
