Do I need confirmed flights before applying for a Pakistan eVisa?

On this pageView sections

1 What is normally asked for

Most Pakistan applications want your intended travel dates rather than proof of purchase. An itinerary or reservation is often enough where anything is requested at all.

2 Why not to book first

Review takes 5 working days (sometimes around 2 working days where faster handling is possible — on request, never guaranteed), and approval is never guaranteed. Non-refundable tickets bought before a decision convert a refusal into a much more expensive problem. Approval first, then book.

3 The safe sequence

  1. Check the Pakistan eVisa requirements.
  2. Hold a refundable reservation, or a held fare, if you need dates for the form.
  3. Apply, allowing 5 working days plus margin.
  4. Book once the approval is in hand.

4 Dates on the form are not a contract

Your permit covers a window rather than one specific flight — the dates are printed on the approval, and it allows a stay of up to 30 days. Modest changes inside that window generally do not require anything new — travel that falls outside it does.

5 If you have already booked

Apply now and count remaining working days, including public holidays in Pakistan. Do not file a second application hoping to go faster; duplicates conflict and take longer to resolve.

6 Before you apply

Work through the Pakistan eVisa requirements checklist, then continue to the application flow. Other questions for this destination are collected in the Pakistan eVisa FAQ.

United eVisa Services is a private application-support provider, not a government agency. The immigration authority makes the decision.

Final review

Before you submit

A short check now can prevent avoidable corrections later.

  • Match names, passport numbers, and birth dates exactly.
  • Use clear document images and confirm the requested format.
  • Re-check travel dates and supporting bookings before payment.

Processing times are estimates and immigration authorities make the final decision. Avoid paying twice or resubmitting unchanged information.

Ready for the next step?

Check the route before entering passport details.

Review eligibility and fees first. You can leave before payment if the available route does not fit your trip.
