1 What the form wants
An address for your first nights in Mongolia — a hotel, or a host's address. A refundable reservation satisfies this as well as a paid one, and leaves you able to change plans.
2 Why not to pay upfront
Review takes 5 working days — no faster route is offered, and approval is not guaranteed. A non-refundable booking made before a decision turns a refusal into a bigger loss than the US$56–US$82 government fee.
3 Staying with friends or family
Give their full name, address and contact details. A short letter from them confirming they are hosting you, with your name spelled exactly as in your passport, is worth having even when nothing asks for it.
4 If plans change after approval
Changing where you stay does not invalidate an eVisa — the approval is tied to your passport and to the dates printed on it, not to a specific hotel. Carry details of wherever you are actually staying for the border.
5 The detail that causes trouble
A booking in a different name from the passport. Reservations made by a partner, an employer or a travel agent frequently carry the wrong name — check before you travel.
6 Before you apply
Work through the Mongolia eVisa requirements checklist, then continue to the application flow. Other questions for this destination are collected in the Mongolia eVisa FAQ.
United eVisa Services is a private application-support provider, not a government agency. The immigration authority makes the decision.
