1 What still shortens the real wait
The published window is only part of your total wait. The part you control is how many times the file goes around:
- Submit a clean file. A returned application restarts the 5 working days clock. Avoiding one resubmission saves more time than any expedited tier would.
- Check the passport line by line — the passport number, full name exactly as printed in the machine-readable line, date of birth, nationality and passport expiry date.
- Use a compliant photo and a legible scan. The two commonest causes of a return.
- Apply early in the week, since "5 working days" counts working days.
2 If you are already travelling soon
Count backwards in working days, including public holidays in Mongolia. If the standard window does not fit before your flight, the realistic options are moving the travel date or checking whether a different entry route applies to your nationality — not paying for speed that is not on offer.
