How much does a South Africa eVisa cost?

On this pageView sections

1 Government fee: US$66

Set by South Africa and paid to the authority for assessing your application. The range reflects the 2 products on offer, covering Tourist and Business travel across Single Entry — a multiple-entry or longer-validity permit costs more than a basic single entry. This fee is not refundable if the application is declined, because the assessment still took place.

2 Service fee: US$59.99 per traveller

Our flat charge for preparing, checking and submitting the file. No rush surcharge, no nationality surcharge, no per-document add-ons. If immigration declines your application, we refund our service fee. Government fees are non-refundable. Eligibility and timelines are in our refund policy.

3 What that means for a group

Both fees are per person, including children and infants. A family of four is four government fees plus four service fees — there is no family rate.

4 Costs worth avoiding

The expensive version of this process is paying twice. A mismatch between the form and the passport, an unreadable scan or a non-compliant photo means a fresh application at a fresh US$66, plus another 3 working days of waiting.

5 Compare before you commit

Full current pricing across products is on the pricing page and the fee calculator.

6 Before you apply

Work through the South Africa eVisa requirements checklist, then continue to the application flow. Other questions for this destination are collected in the South Africa eVisa FAQ.

United eVisa Services is a private application-support provider, not a government agency. The immigration authority makes the decision.

Final review

Before you submit

A short check now can prevent avoidable corrections later.

  • Match names, passport numbers, and birth dates exactly.
  • Use clear document images and confirm the requested format.
  • Re-check travel dates and supporting bookings before payment.

Processing times are estimates and immigration authorities make the final decision. Avoid paying twice or resubmitting unchanged information.

Review eligibility and fees first. You can leave before payment if the available route does not fit your trip.
