How can I track my Benin eVisa status?

On this pageView sections

1 What the timeline looks like

Benin review runs 3 working days (sometimes around 5 hours where faster handling is possible — on request, never guaranteed). The clock starts when a complete file reaches the authority, not when you began the form. Within that window, no news is the normal state — most applications produce no visible movement until the decision itself.

2 Where the result actually arrives

The outcome comes by email to the address on the application. Two things catch people out:

  • Spam and promotions filtering. Approval mail is automated and frequently filtered. Search your whole mailbox for the reference, not just the inbox.
  • A typo in the email address. If the address was entered wrongly, the mail is not late, it is gone. That is worth checking before you assume a delay.

3 When to chase

Chase once you are past 3 working days and have searched your full mailbox. Before then, a chase does not move a file — United eVisa Services is a private application-support provider, not a government agency. The immigration authority makes the decision.

4 If your travel date is closing in

Count remaining working days, not calendar days, and include public holidays in Benin. Do not submit a duplicate application while the first is open: two live files for one traveller create a conflict that takes longer to unpick than the wait.

5 While you wait

Work through the Benin eVisa requirements checklist, then continue to the application flow. Other questions for this destination are collected in the Benin eVisa FAQ.
