1 At application
Most Cambodia eVisa applications are decided on identity, passport and purpose of travel rather than bank balances. Where funds are requested, recent statements in your own name are what is meant.
2 At the border, which is the real check
An approval authorises you to travel; the officer on arrival still decides whether to admit you, and may ask how you intend to support yourself. A stay of up to 30 days invites a bigger version of that question than a weekend would.
3 What is worth carrying
- A recent bank statement or accessible balance in your own name.
- A card that demonstrably works abroad.
- Accommodation details for at least the first nights.
- A return or onward ticket.
You will very likely not be asked. Producing it calmly if you are takes two minutes; improvising does not.
4 Whose funds count
Your own, in your own name. Screenshots, a balance in someone else's account, or a borrowed sum deposited the day before all read badly. If someone else is sponsoring the trip, carry a letter saying so with their contact details.
5 Before you apply
Work through the Cambodia eVisa requirements checklist, then continue to the application flow. Other questions for this destination are collected in the Cambodia eVisa FAQ.
United eVisa Services is a private application-support provider, not a government agency. The immigration authority makes the decision.
